Paying on impulse

Abstract

Sometime this winter, regular customers at Reading Garage—one of the biggest in Southern England—will be able to get their petrol tanks filled quicker and save 4p in the pound in the bargain. The reason for this boon will be one of the world's first experiments in electronic money.
