£11,000 cut for carpet workers

Abstract

By changing from fluorescent tubes to Thorn Lighting's Hi‐Pak luminaires with Kolorarc mercury halide lamps, Templeton Grays Carpets Limited are confident of reducing their annual electricity bill by £11,000 and maintenance charges by £5,500. In addition, staff have the benefits of better colour rendering and illuminance. The new scheme should pay for itself in energy savings in six to eight months from installation.
