Computerisation aids Fuel System Production
Abstract
Production of advanced aerospace components and systems presents considerable challenges in engineering. Management and administration are under equal pressure to perform well. Dowty Fuel Systems Limited, a leader in its specialist field, is already actively evaluating the problems and advantages of the integrated “electronic” office. It is recognised that policy making, equipment selection and communications planning involve considerable effort and careful evaluation to ensure that a system meets the total requirement, particularly when use of computing techniques is well advanced in the production process.
