Abstract

Community workers, health visitors, midwives, nutritionists, health education officials, members of the Department of Health and Social Security and other organisations providing antenatal care have been urged by the Spastics Society to set up a nutrition counselling service in Britain in the homes of ‘at risk’ categories of pregnant women. Sue Ross, Co‐ordinator of the Vancouver (Canada) Perinatal Health Project told delegates at the Healthiest Baby Possible Conference, organised recently by the Spastics Society, about a successful programme carried out in Vancouver.
