Senator Max Baucus (Represented Montana in the United States Congress since 1974. He is a senior member of the Senate Finance Committee, where he chairs the International Trade Subcommittee. Senator Baucus is also Co‐Chairman of the Senate's Competitiveness Caucus. Abstract

Good morning. I am very pleased to speak here at the Conference on Competitiveness today, because we are approaching a basic decision on trade and competitiveness policy. That is the vote on the North American Free Trade Agreement.
