The University of Portsmouth's Centre for European Studies Research (CESR) will mark the new millennium by awarding an essay prize on the topic "What is Europe?"
Essays must be between 5,000 and 6,000 words long. A selection of the best entries will be published as a collected volume. The deadline is 30 September 1999.
