The Training of Trainers (TT) network is a European forum for communication and co-operation designed to improve the competence of instructors in vocational training. Established by the European Centre for the Development of Vocational Training (Cedefop) in 1998, it brings together the 15 organizations responsible for training vocational training instructors in the EU member states. Among the key issues considered so far are innovation as a transferable practice, the role of the tutor, the EU dimension to the training of instructors and open and distance learning for instructors. Studies have also been carried out on innovation and the development of instructors' competencies in information technology.
