A round-table forum aimed at bringing together organizations which could attract new people into the building trade has been hosted by the Construction Industry Trust for Youth. The forum involved construction-industry leaders, educational and training institutions, government officials and people who help underprivileged, disaffected and homeless people. "We were able to identify how we can better connect disadvantaged young people with construction," said Anthony Hill, trustees' chairman. "We now hope to be able to move forward and establish a formal link where we can generate new ideas and methods of working together."
