Projects link EU with USA and Canada
A total of 13 projects involving co-operation between universities and vocational-training establishments in the USA and the EU, and six between institutions in Canada and the EU, have been selected from 66 proposals submitted to the European Commission in 2001. The successful projects, involving 64 higher-education and vocational-training institutions, will receive a total 2,141,143 euros in the next 12 months. Among the successful projects is one entitled "Trans Auto Tec", which develops trans-Atlantic training for students of automotive engineering. Another project, "Cultural Production in an International Environment", prepares students of arts and culture to better incorporate the international dimension in their future activities.
