Daphne II programme agreed
The European Parliament and Council have adopted a second phase of the EU Daphne programme, designed to prevent and combat all forms of violence against children, young people and women and to protect victims and groups at risk. The programme includes money to support training and the design of educational packages in the areas covered by the programme.
The budget for the programme, which runs from 1 January 2004 to 31 December 2008, has been set at 50 million. Some 29 million of this is for the period until 31 December 2006.
