Ministers agree need to recognize “non-formal” learning

Better systems should exist to help employers to pay adequate attention to skills gained by young people through non-formal learning, national ministers responsible for youth policy agreed in Vienna. They were discussing youth employment with more than 30 representatives of youth organizations, and European Commission officials. The forum also agreed that measures were needed to promote the involvement of youth organizations and to combat “multi-discrimination”.
