MindGym, the multimedia training solution from Melrose, is the first winner of the newly-created BAFTA Interactive Entertainment awards, which recognize outstanding achievement in interactive entertainment. Offering 15 different categories, the awards recognize achievements in areas such as learning, games, image, sound and design. MindGym was successful in the comedy category, which recognizes the best use of humour in any interactive media.
Following closely from this award, MindGym has been granted Millennium Product status by the UK Government. As such, it is one of only 231 products which represent the UK's most innovative offerings. A select number of these products will be part of the exhibition at the Millennium Dome currently being build in Greenwich.
MindGym is a digitally-based training solution comprising a video, CD-ROM, workbooks and trainer's manual. It is designed to help individuals to think creatively, effectively and quickly. The video psychologically prepares individuals for the tough decisions they need to make about their careers. The MindGym CD-ROM uses a format similar to a real-life gym or sports club: managers' mental fitness is initially assessed and the results used to tie each person's activities into a learning pace and style most suitable for their needs. MindGym includes interactive sessions to develop creativity, memory and improve mental efficiency.
