1st International Conference Energy and Meteorology (ICEM) Surfers Paradise Marriott Resort & Spa, Gold Coast

8-11 November, Queensland, Australia

Energy & Meteorology 2011 provides a great opportunity to network with scientists, engineers, economists, policy makers and other specialists working at the nexus between weather, climate and energy. In this burgeoning inter-sectoral industry, Energy & Meteorology 2011 will provide a premium forum in which delegates will:

  • showcase research findings relevant for operational activities, long-term investment planning and policy making in the energy industry;

  • advance ways to manage weather and climate risk by the energy industry, especially in the face of climate variability and change;

  • enhance coordination between experts in weather and climate research and the energy industry to leverage experience and resources; and

  • discuss an international framework for the exchange of information between the weather and climate community and the energy industry.

As the international community struggles to develop policies and frameworks to effectively tackle climate change, a much stronger connection between Energy & Meteorology will allow the development of forward-looking, cost-effective and sustainable weather and climate risk management strategies for the energy industry.
