Yves Chricota did his Ph.D. in Mathematics at UQAM (Université due Québec á Montréal, Montréal, Canada) between 1989 and 1992. Thereafter, he continued postdoctoral studies at Laboratoire Bordelais de Recherche en Informatique (LaBRI) at Bordeaux, France. He was working on GUI there. He came back to Canada in 1994 and has been hired by a software company (PAD System Technologies, Montréal) where he was responsible for a project involving a 3D CAD systems for garment industry. One of the main problems that he tackled at that time was the development of software that allowed a computer to produce 3D images of clothes starting from their 2D patterns. After 5 years he returned to academics. From December 1999, he is a Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Mathematics at the Université due Québec á Chicoutimi. He is still doing research on 3D garment CAD systems and has started research activities in the field of graphs visualization.

Mr Olivier Cochaux B.Sc. (Mechanical Engineering, B.Sc.) Computer Science is presently Product Manager for PAD System Technologies, a private company, which develops and commercializes a CAD system for the apparel industry. In this company he has actively participated in several research projects including 2D-3D pattern transformation and pattern design automation. These research projects lead to commercial solutions. Previously he also worked as a mechanical engineer in a consulting engineering firm.

Mr Andrew Provost (B.Sc. Computer Science), Entrepreneur and researcher is co-founder of PAD System Technologies, a company founded in 1988 in Montreal, the Canadian Capital of fashion by creative people from the apparel industry. PAD System Technologies is a leader in CAD/CAM integrated solutions, dedicated to the apparel, textile and leather industry and is present in five continents through its international distribution network, is active in more than 40 countries and used in more than 15 languages. Being the Development Director at PAD System for 12 years, he is now pursuing his carrier as a freelance consultant.
