From the Editor

Our goal, as discussed in my previous Editorials (Pate, 2006a, b, 2007a, b), is to establish the International Journal of Organizational Analysis as one of the premier journals in the field. We are inching closer to achieving this goal with our latest appointment of John L. Michela as an Associate Editor. John’s background is in social psychology and research methods. He brings much expertise to our editorial team, particularly in the micro area. John is currently an Associate Professor of Psychology and Management Sciences at the University of Waterloo, Canada. Previously, he was a tenured Associate Professor of Psychology and Health Education at Columbia University, and he also taught briefly at the University of Paris – Dauphine. He has published in the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology, Organizational Research Methods, Journal of Applied Social Psychology, American Journal of Public Health, Annual Review of Psychology, Journal of Personality, Health Education Quarterly, Health Psychology, Journal of Nutrition Education, and other respected outlets. He has served on the Editorial Boards of the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology and the International Journal of Organizational Analysis. In short, we are lucky to have him. He has exactly the sort of talent, energy, drive, and commitment to help us achieve the ambitious goals we have set. Please join me in welcoming John to our editorial team.

While I am writing, I will mention once again that we will soon be launching a Letters to the Editor section, so please write to me at larry.pate@gmail.com with your thoughts and comments on articles we have published, on research and theory we should publish, or on anything else that you believe will advance the field. Letters to the Editor cannot exceed ten-typed pages in length. This is your journal. Write and tell us how we are doing.
