EasyLink Services Corporation has announced the expansion of their Integrated Desktop suite of services in India to now support EasyLink’s Fax to E-Mail Service, giving them the ability to integrate fax and e-mail at the employee desktop.
This latest expansion was spurred by demand for an expanded desktop fax solution to include inbound faxing. The project was initiated by many of the company’s Indian customers; as they expand their businesses both nationally and globally, their business process capabilities must also be able to meet this growth.
The service enables messages to be delivered directly to a PC even if the sender is using a fax machine. Businesses will see increased productivity, eliminate fax servers and machines, use less paper, and maintain an archived library of materials.
According to Gartner, there has been a shift in attitude among Indian businesses including a willingness to reduce dependence on small local vendors for outsourcing business services and custom software development; and a preference for larger service providers that can offer end-to-end solutions for the entire range of technology and business process optimisation needs.
