Have you (US readers) missed the series of seminars from GE Fanuc Automation Americas, Inc., a unit of GE Infrastructure, entitled “Outperform your competition: increase productivity through automation”. Held in conjunction with the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME), FANUC Robotics and Renishaw Inc., these seminars introduce participants to strategies for increasing productivity through overall equipment effectiveness or OEE (machine availability, performance, and output quality), lean manufacturing and Six Sigma. During the seminar, participants can learn about and gain experience with technologies that enable a more productive manufacturing environment – as well as take advantage of the opportunity for expert consultation. Additionally, hands-on demonstrations with attendee participation will be available. Select locations will include speakers from local SME Chapters.
