A BOLD initiative

Ten major US companies are involved in the business opportunities for leadership diversity (BOLD) initiative a program designed to demonstrate that flexible working arrangements can measurably enhance individual and team performance, improve job design and work flow, strengthen managers' ability to administer workplace flexibility for results, and increase employee satisfaction.

These companies are committed to the view that that workplace flexibility is a solid business tool and not simply an employee perk, and all ten are developing strategies to expand and scale-up the implementation of team-based, results-focused workplace flexibility. The companies participating in the project include: the Chubb Corporation, Johnson & Johnson, Macy's Northwest, Nextel Communications, Inc., PepsiCo., Inc., and Prudential Financial, Inc.
