This book results from a German-Lithuanian co-operation project, which culminated with a specialist workshop with the same title held in Vilnius, Lithuania on 2-4 October 2000. A number of authors explore matters related to sustainability and information technologies (IT) and discuss approaches and methods aimed at using IT as a tool for sustainable development.
