Gordon and Breach Publishers from 2002

Gordon and Breach Publishers from 2002Keywords: Publishing industry

Taylor & Francis recently acquired Gordon and Breach Publishers and wish to reassure subscribers that procedures that have been put in place over the past few months will begin to address the many concerns that have been voiced over the past few years. Taylor & Francis has for many years enjoyed an excellent relationship with the library and academic communities and want to ensure that this is now extended to include this recent list of journals.

These new procedures include:

  • With effect from January 2002 all titles will be published on a regular calendar year basis with a single annual renewal invoice.

  • Many journals will have a significant price reduction in 2002 and many others will remain unchanged. In addition, a few titles which have consistently failed to achieve any regularity in publishing will be cancelled.

  • All Gordon and Breach titles will be published under one of the Taylor & Francis imprints with effect from the 2002 volume.

  • High quality online editions will also be available from 2002 and current Gordon and Breach/Harcourt Academic Publishing subscribers will be contacted with further information.

  • The excellent rapport now established with the academic editors and the editorial boards should ensure that commitment to publishing material of the highest quality will be maintained.

  • The customer service department will be pleased to handle any queries or concerns (e-mail: enquiry@tandf.co.uk).

To reinforce their commitment Taylor & Francis are extending a special offer to Gordon and Breach subscribers, who have recently cancelled a Gordon and Breach journal subscription. If they wish to renew for 2002, the missing volumes will be given free of charge (subject to stock availability), so that their collection will be complete – contact the customer service manager at the above e-mail address.

A Frequently Asked Questions sheet has recently been produced on the Web site (and it will be updated to reflect any enquiries received as a result of this announcement). Details at: http://www.tandf.co.uk/journals/gandb_faq.html
