Cutting down on oil

Keywords: Cutting oils, Oil mists

Fuji Koeki Co. Ltd has marketed a special-purpose oil mist generator for spindle-through type machining centres that supply cutting oils through tools. Owing to the small volume of supplied cutting oil, machining is possible in the dry state, so Oil Booster serves to maintain a clean working environment. The products need not be washed after they are machined, so waste water treatment cost is reduced considerably, and the fire hazard eliminated almost completely.

An article "Oil Booster reduces cutting oils of machining centres" in New Technology Japan (ISSN 0916-7978, Vol. 25,No. 10, January, 1998, p. 24) is available from Global Information on Science and Technology, Tel: +44 (0) 1664 501 501; Fax: +44 (0) 1664 501 555 by quoting 22866P.
