New purifier from Kestrel

New purifier from Kestrel

Keywords: Coolants, Purifier

A new Kestrel mobile purifier for coolant fluids can be supplied on extended loan to proven users. This could include companies with large or small machine installations, particularly those involved with sub-contract machining, where any downtime entails lost revenue. If the equipment does not achieve satisfactory results within a few days, the unit can be returned without any further obligation. This extended site testing service has proved to be far more useful to machine shop operatives than a conventional product demonstration, which might only cover an hour or two at most.

The Kestrel is claimed to prolong the active working life of cutting fluids almost indefinitely, with fluid replacement being limited only to replacing any natural loss. Maximum production efficiency, with no shut down for sump cleaning, can be achieved. The removal of suspended solids and both tramp oil and hydraulic leak residues can maintain cutting fluid performance and eliminate the major source of bacteriological contaminations. Problems associated with the management and disposal of waste oil products are also minimised or removed entirely, guaranteeing compliance with current and future, more stringent, legislation.

The Kestrel can be located alongside individual machines, without the need to interrupt production. A floating suction device is used to pump contaminated fluid through a lamella separator, returning clean, purified coolant, back to sump. The operation is automatic and continuous with a throughput capacity of 300 litres per hour. The Kestrel is then simply wheeled to the next machine once an acceptable level of cleanliness has been achieved at any location.
