The new Pall 36 Series of welded filter vessels for filtration of fluids used in gas and steam turbines, industrial compressors and pumps, has been designed to comply with AP 1614 (see Plate 15). Manufactured from either carbon or stainless steel, the filter housings operate at flow rates up to 6,000 l/min. and are compatible with petroleum oils, water glycol fluids, water/oil emulsions and most synthetic and lubrication fluids. The standard design code is ASME or BS with pressure ratings of ANSI Class 150/300/600.

Duplex and single housing variants of the 36 series are available and the duplex range is fitted with linked three-way flanges ball valves for unrestricted flow during changeover. Other options include vent and drain connections (that can be supplied plugged, flanged or fitted with shut-off valves) and bypass valves and differential pressure gauges. All of the Pall 36 series of vessels have been designed to maximise the benefits of Pall's Ultipor III filter medium that is available in a range of removal ratings.
