Aims and scope

The aims of the symposium are to promote a dialogue between space mechanism engineers on the design, development, testing, production and in-flight experience of spacecraft and payload mechanisms, and to encourage personal contacts in the mechanisms and tribology community.

Preliminary programme

The areas listed below will be the major themes for the symposium:

  • mechanism design, analysis and hardware;

  • components/equipment;

  • tribology;

  • technology

  • in-orbit performance and post-flight investigations;

  • science observatories and planetary exploration mechanisms;

  • space platforms, re-entry vehicle mechanisms;

  • mechanisms and components products presentation.
