A new 400ml aerosol dispenser of Safe Cut, the high performance lubricant for a wide range of machining and metal forming operations, has been introduced by Advanced Microlubrication Systems. Safe Cut is a well proven, vegetable-based, fully biodegradable lubricant. Because of its convenient size, the Safe Cut aerosol dispenser is an ideal companion to all service engineers as well as the DIY enthusiast, but the highly concentrated lubricant is nevertheless also suitable for use in the busy production engineering workshop. It increases the effectiveness of tools by reducing friction in a wide range of machining and metalworking operations including reaming, stamping, forming, rolling, drawing, sawing, milling, drilling, turning and tapping, etc. The higher operating efficiency offered by Safe Cut is claimed to result in a longer and more productive tool life. The accuracy of spot lubrication achieved with an aerosol minimises waste, leaves a clean working area with neutral aroma and eliminates any problems such as dermatitis which can be aggravated when using conventional cutting fluids. The product is not toxic, hazardous or carcinogenic, and being a natural organic derivative it is totally environmentally safe. It only needs to be used in very small quantities to be effective, and the propellant is of a non-CFC type to eliminate potential atmospheric pollution.
