New powdered diecasting release agent from KlÏber

Keywords Diecasting, Lubrication

KlÏber Lubrication has launched a new development which may well revolutionise diecasting. KlÏbertec HP1-810 is a powder release agent, free of pigments and silicone, designed to meet the exacting demands of aluminium and magnesium diecasting. Compared to conventional electrostatically applied aqueous die release agents, the product is claimed to provide shorter cycle times, in that blowing and cooling are no longer required, in addition to extending the service life of the tool. Smoke and gas are reduced, and leakages and effluent are completely eliminated. Also, noise pollution is reduced when using either manual or electrostatic spray systems, as are energy costs.
