The latest self-adhesive labelling machines from Kosme have been designed to simplify the container labelling process, using technology to eliminate the traditional “battle” at the label/ container interface. This leads to higher throughput, greater flexibility covering the range of labels and containers that can be accommodated, together with more efficient and profitable operation for packaging companies.

The machines feature advanced electronic controls, which are powerful, accurate and simple to program. Production speeds between 1,000 and 54,000 CPH to be selected across 18 base models, while label station speeds up to 130 m/min can also be achieved. Control systems can store up to 99 changeovers in memory, with operator access to all parameters even when the machine is running.

A high level of versatility is achieved, with a wide range of container sizes, shapes and materials being accommodated. In addition, the machines have the ability to adapt to all label formats including delicate transparent plastic film, providing high quality labelling solutions even with innovative packaging requirements. Yet, despite their high technical capability, the machines are easy to use, leading to reduced running costs and lower maintenance.

The range starts with the Compact Adhesive model, which is economic and of straightforward construction, with an output of up to 2,500 CPH. For throughput capacities up to 54,000 CPH, the Top Adhesive model features automatic redundant decoiler groups which switch over automatically in the case of a label backing web breakage and also allow the decoiler to be loaded at full production speed. All machines can be fitted with vertical or sliding concertina type safety guards that come fitted with clear shatter proof safety material.

There is also an impressive list of accessories that includes semi- and fully-automatic dual decoilers, together with optional slides including motorised and radial versions. Special container infeed systems for handling unstable or soft containers can also be supplied, together with high productivity options such as quick release changeover systems, dual label reel un-winders and automatic label detection/ rejection systems etc.

Highly versatile combination machines that can accommodate hot melt and cold glue as well as self-adhesive labelling stations can also be supplied.
