USA FANUC Robotics lands industry's largest robotic arc welding and laser cutting order from Formet Industries
Formet Industries, a division of Magna International, has selected FANUC Robotics North America, Inc., to automate truck frame production processes at its new St Thomas, Ontario, facility. The system, which includes over 450 robots, represents the industry's largest robotic arc welding and laser cutting order in history. The overall system will include robots for arc welding, YAG laser cutting and various material handling processes. In addition to the robots, FANUC Robotics will supply engineering resources, robotic grippers and process-specific system software.
