Keywords Low cost, Assembly

Intertronics has announced a new range of robots, designed to systemise assembly lines with minimal investment. The TMB100 Series from I & J Fisnar is available in several configurations for a variety of applications, including dispensing, soldering, screw fastening and pick and place (see Plate 8).

Plate 8 TMB100 Series offers high performance at low cost.

The new robots provide cost effective, high performance without any need for learning complex robot language.

The TMB100 Series features fast acceleration (up to 2G at 1kgf portable weight). Its palletising and arch motion functions are ideal for pick and place applications.

The integral controller, built into the robot body, incorporates a memory which can store up to 100 programs or 6,000 data points. A memory card, supplied with the machine, can be used for fast and easy data backup, and two RS232C ports are provided for interfacing with PCs or other devices. Maximum I/O interface is 89 points for input and 88 points for output.

Area sensor and interlock devices are provided for operator safety.
