CRS Robotics Corporation and Millipore to co-market optimal sample prep for the ultra-high throughput assay market

CRS Robotics Corporation and Millipore Corporation have announced a non-exclusive agreement to co-market automated, ultra-high throughput sample-prep applications for genomics, proteomics and drug discovery. These solutions combine CRS instrumentation with Millipore's sample-prep platforms and validated software protocols.

Ralph Steedman, president and CEO of CRS said, "By combining our instrumentation with Millipore technology, we can provide automated sample preparation solutions for some of the world's highest throughput research centers. To our knowledge this is the first ultra high throughput system available to the market for this application. Our mission is to pioneer advanced sample-prep methods by equipping our customers with robust systems and optimized protocols."

"Millipore continues to identify partners whose capabilities are a natural extension of our own", said Bill Emhiser, president of Millipore's Life Science Division. "Developed for use on robotic systems, our sample-prep technology is ideally suited to meet the demands of CRS high throughput customers."

The agreement further establishes both companies' competitive position in the sample-prep purification market for Life Science customers. Millipore's high throughput sample-prep platforms include 96- and 384-well Montage kits for genomics sample prep applications including PCR cleanup, sequencing reaction cleanup, BAC minipreps and plasmid minipreps.
