This patent relates to a behaviour schedule setting type robot which is able to check for a cause of abnormalities, malfunctions or troubles if such should occur while acquiring speech or images from a user.
It provides a controlling apparatus for a robot comprising a plurality of joint actuators; a behaviour scheduling unit; an operation controller for implementing an operational pattern corresponding to the behavioural schedule as determined by the behaviour scheduling unit by driving each joint actuator; a detector for detecting the state of operation implementation by the operation controller; and a recording unit for recording a log including the behavioural schedule by the behaviour scheduling unit and the state of operation implementation by the detector.
A user issuing a command for the robot is authenticated. The contents of the command supplied from the user are recorded in combination with the behaviour taken by the robot in response to the issued command, and the time of implementation of the behaviour.
