The 2007 competition gathered the record amount of 18 cases from 12 countries (Canada, Croatia, France, India, Jamaica, Kyrgyzstan, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Spain, Thailand, and Ukraine).

On the basis of the evaluations and motivations made by the members of the evaluation commission, the winner case of the CEEMAN Case Writing Competition 2007 was:

“A home market abroad: new departures of Fazer Bakeries in Russia”

by Andrey MedvedevInternational Management Institute of St Petersburg (IMISP), Russia

Its author, Professor Andrey Medvedev, received his award at the 15th CEEMAN Annual Conference in Istanbul, including a prize of €1,500 provided by Emerald.

The second place goes to:

“The Logoplaste case, innovation in the global market: from packaging to solution”

The members of the commission have highly appreciated cases such us “The brand in the hand: mobile marketing at Adidas”, “Killer Coke: the campaign against Coca-Cola” and “Peer to peer file sharing and the market for digital information goods”, all written by representatives of well known business schools. These cases represent fully the most accredited international standards. Nevertheless, taking in consideration as well the spirit of the competition, the members of the commission have privileged the cases of less known authors and topics more close to the realities of the CEEMAN network.
