California Micro Devices Corporation (CAMD) has announced three new filter network devices: WLP200, CSPRC030, and CSPRC032. The WLP200 is an evaluation RC filter network ideally suited for mobile equipment such as cellular phones. The device consists of six channel RC filters with different filter characteristics in a wafer level package (WLP). All I/O pins are ESD protected for contact discharges up to 8KV per the IEC1000-4-2 level 4 specification. Two versions with different capacitor values are available.

The CSPRC030 and the CSPRC032 are four channel EMI filter networks. They consist of resistors and capacitors that provide filtering for portable applications such as cellular phones, cordless phones, PDAs, laptop computers and Internet appliances. The pin-out for both devices features a "flow through" design; allowing optimal signal routing.

Portable applications frequently demand EMI/RFI filtering of signals in the 800 to 2,700MHz band. CAMD's thin film filters provide a minimum of –30dB of attenuation over this frequency band. The bump size and pitch of these filters are selected such that these devices can be placed directly on a FR4 printed circuit board using conventional assembly techniques. Ground-bounce and cross-talk are minimized by a die design that provides two (CSPRC030 and CSPRC032) or eight (WLP200) solder bump contacts to the common supply connection.
