“The heart of MeasComp goes on beating in Nürnberg,” said Peter Scholz, Director Additive GmbH, describing the mood at the last MeasComp/Sensors, which took place in Wiesbaden from September 27 to 29, 2005. SENSOR+TEST and MeasComp will be organized as one event in the Exhibition Centre Nürnberg starting in 2006.

Despite the difficult economic situation in the industry, this year's event still attracted the same number of exhibitors as last year: 173 companies exhibited at MeasComp/Sensors 2005, according to Reinhard Bertermann, spokesman of the exhibitors committee.

“MeasComp was the best-known platform for professional measuring technology and attracted an international response far beyond the gates of Wiesbaden. The merger with SENSOR+TEST makes the `The Measurement Fair' the world's biggest trade fair for industrial sensors, test and measurement, including components, technologies and services,” says Klaus Jansen, organiser of MeasComp.

The number of visitors will probably be less than last year, despite a very good second day. The exact number of visitors will be announced in the full closing report for MeasComp.

Parallel: SENSOR+TEST, SMT/ HYBRID/PACKAGING and PCIM.

After merging with MeasComp, SENSOR+TEST – The Measurement Fair takes place with a sharper profile in Nürnberg in 2006 from May 30 to June 1 and then at yearly intervals.

SENSOR+TEST 2006 takes place parallel to two other attractive exhibitions: SMT/HYBRID/PACKAGING and PCIM. The organisers AMA Service GmbH and Mesago Messe Frankfurt expect a total of around 1,200 exhibitors and 35,000 trade visitors at this unique combination of three individual exhibitions.
