Syon Park opens farm shop

The Food Hall, housed in the oldest building in Syon Park, The Monastery Barn, opened in November 1998. It aims to stock high quality food and drink from specialist suppliers primarily from the South East of England. All the produce is required to be submitted to the Syon Park Farm Shop tasting committee before being selected. Within the 2,000 lines available there will be butchery offering a variety of rare breed and organic produce with meats, home cured hams and bacon as well as a range of sausages made to more than 50 different recipes, some including game and smoked venison. Seasonal fresh fruit and vegetables, many from organic growers, will be complemented by a wine and beer cellar offering a wide range of award winning fine and country wines, beers and ciders. The delicatessen will stock a range of more than 100 cheeses, dairy products and charcuterie. The Food Hall will be open seven days a week. Syon Park is in Brentford, Middlesex. Tel: 0181 568 8193.
