Bad food experiences on holiday
Bad food experiences on holiday
At a recent conference it was shown that two in three people are influenced in their choice of holiday destination by a country's food poisoning risks. A total of 86 per cent of holiday makers consider themselves as being less tolerant of poor food hygiene than in the past. The figures are derived from an independent survey of 200 adults from across the UK and Germany. With over 50 million package holidays sold in Europe every year, food and water safety has become an important factor for the success of the tourism industry. The reputation of a holiday destination has a considerable impact on consumers' likelihood of visiting.
