Bad food experiences and holiday destination

An independent survey of 200 adults across the UK and Germany has shown that more than two in three people would be influenced in their choice of holiday destination by a country's food poisoning risks. With over 50 million package holidays sold in Europe every year, food and water safety has become an important factor in holiday makers' choice of destination. The response from those taking part in the survey showed that 86 per cent regard themselves as being less tolerant of poor food hygiene than in the past.
