Safeguarding children from sexual exploitation

Many children in the world are in danger of being forced into unlawful sexual activity for the financial gain of others. A new report from the Department of Health, the Home Office and the Devolved Administrations shows significant progress in protecting these children and also identifies what further steps need to be taken.

The term "sexual exploitation" is interpreted as including the prostitution and the production, sale and marketing of pornographic materal involving children. The Department of Health has funded the Centre for Europe's Children at the University of Glasgow.
