Microscience 2002

For three days starting on 9 July microscope users will be flocking to the UK for Microscience 2002, the European microscopy event. The organisers hope that the event will bring together scientists and technicians from industry, life and material sciences, medicine, food and environmental technologies to hear papers from internationally acclaimed experts. There will also be practical industry-led workshop sessions to give delegates hands-on experience with a wealth of new technologies and developments in their chosen field. The event will be held at the ExCel Conference and Exhibtion Centre in London, chosen for its excellent road, rail and air access for domestic and international visitors.

The event is being organised by the Royal Microscopical Society, which is an international organisation with 1,500 members drawn from over 53 countries which are actively involved in all current and developing techniques of microscopy and image analysis. Its headquarters are at 37/38 St Clements, Oxford OX4 1AJ. Tel: 44 (0) 1865 248768; Fax: 44 (0) 1865 791237; Website www.rms.org.uk.
