Food Standards Agency's new Web site
At the beginning of 2002 information on forthcoming scientific committees and research as well as surveillance reports from the FSA are now available at its new Web site www.food.gov.uk The site covers a range of food science topics such as the latest BSE figures, latest nutritional data and up-to-date nutritional data and most up-to-date microbiological reports. The site also has information on radioactivity in food, novel foods, meat hygiene, food labelling and dietary surveys. The new Web site provides details of current and planned research programmes, including how to submit research proposals. The site reflects the FSA's concerns across the whole food industry – from farming and food production through packaging and distribution to retail and catering.
