The health giving properties of tomatoes have been known for long time, but now new findings announced at a recent conference in Israel, suggest that lycopene is even better than was previously thought. Scientists presented research demonstrating that tomatoes not only help to prevent and fight prostate cancer, but may also help to combat hypertension, atherosclerosis, Alzheimer’s disease, chronic inflammation in the body and ageing.
