Through the ages hundreds of well‐known authors have written what are now regarded as important classical works on philosophical topics. Interpreting this widely, the relevant documents can include such different materials as Canterbury Tales, Civilisation in the United States, Rosicrucian Mysteries, Songs of Innocence, and even the Bible or the Khama Sutra. These texts are all conveniently beyond copyright, which means it is possible to offer the huge number which will fit on a CD‐ROM disc, coupled with a simple search tool, at a low price. Multisell has published several such discs and this is its second collection on philosophy. It could be useful for a general library to have such quotable material readily available in compact form, especially when it is associated with a means of searching for wanted text. That this disc also incorporates a voice‐reader is, for libraries, less important.
