Harlow Chemicals uses Sheen Instruments' Scrub Tester

Harlow Chemical Company Limited, a supplier of waterbased polymer emulsions for the paint, ink, textile and adhesives industries, has used a Sheen Instruments Wet Abrasion Scrub Tester to help with the development of Revacryl 246, a new styrene acrylic copolymer emulsion for high PVC interior paint formulations (Plate 17).

Crucial to the performance of the polymer in the Revacryl 246 formulation is its ability to withstand abrasion in use.

Sheen's Wet Abrasion Scrub Tester provides an accelerated method for determining wear resistance in accordance with the requirements of several international ASTM and BS/EN standards and the instrument enabled Harlow Chemicals to carry out reproducible and reliable testing to determine the performance of the polymer.

The Wet Abrasion Scrub Tester is just one of a complete range of quality control instruments from Sheen which meet the demanding testing requirements of the paint, ink and associated industries.
