Rhodia informs us that it is to build a new 25,000 tonne styrene latex reactor at its plant in Guturribay (Basque country) which will be operational in early 2000; the production will be mainly sold for paper, coatings and textile applications.

Like all other Rhodia’s latex sites, Guturribay is ISO 9000 certified and is reported to work to the highest standards in terms of quality, safety and respect of the environment.

Since the start-up of its Spanish latex plant more than 30 years ago, Rhodia has established strong partnerships with the main customers of the Iberian Peninsula, backed up by the company’s technical expertise and local Technical Assistance Laboratory.

Rhodia’s latex products are sold under the Rhodopas trademark, and, for the construction market, under the Rhoximat trademark.
