Five championships in 1993, 1994, 1995 and 1996, over 45 race victories and more than 40 pole positions, make Panasonic Batteries Racing Team JLR the most successful motor racing team in the history of the popular Formula Vauxhall Junior Championship. The team is based in Batley, West Yorkshire.

Quality and consistency are the team’s watchwords, extending from the talent of its two young drivers – Daniel Scandian from Brazil and Robert Bell from Newcastle upon Tyne – the dedication of its employees and the precision engineering of the cars, right through to the finish on its new team transporter.

The transporter, which comprises an Iveco “Eurotech 340/400” tractor unit and, a purpose designed 45ft (13.7m) Tasker trailer, carries the Team JLR cars, support equipment and mechanics to race meetings across the UK.

The distinctive “golden yellow” and black livery was produced using the highly durable two-part polyurethane “AE320 Transport Finish” from Trimite, an independent British paint manufacturer. The paint, together with technical support, was provided by the company’s Leeds branch.
