Durr Limited reports that it has received an order from Honda of the UK Manufacturers Limited to provide new Pre-treatment and Electrocoat facilities at Honda's new paint shop in Swindon.
Both the Pre-treatment and Electrocoat plants will consist of a combination of spray and full immersion processes. The Pre-treatment plant is nominally 103m long and the Electrocoat, 77m.
Durr, as part of this contract, will also be supplying clean tunnels and ancillary equipment such as gas boilers, chilled water equipment, water treatment, ultrafiltration systems, and service distribution pipework.
Bob Dovey, General Manager of Sales, Paint Systems Automotive, said:
Durr has a proven track record in contract management and years of specialising in Pre-treatment and Electrocoat. We are very pleased to have commenced this partnership with Honda on their new car plant.
The project is due for completion in June 2001. The new plant will manufacture compact multi-recreational vehicles.
