IK Precision Company Limited are a supplier of services which include plastic injection moulding, product assembly, pad printing and automatic spray painting. Their customers include major manufacturers of mobile phones, photocopiers, televisions, videos and hifis.
Previously, IK Precision (IKP) felt that they were encumbered with their existing plant, and so were looking to upgrade processes to cope with future requirements, especially high-gloss applications.
One of the main challenges IKP wanted to overcome involved the control of running costs, particularly with regard to weekly paint booth overhaul and cleaning which was necessary due to the high volumes.
INLAC, we are informed, were able to offer a turnkey solution that would create a facility that would ensure product quality and right-first-time production. They explain that their spraybooth design and their introduction of a central coagulation system, which removes paint from booth water, helped to control running costs and plant down-time and removed the problem of overspray/waste, which helps to maintain a clean booth.
The new facility is said to have provided IKP with a total Clean Room environment from process beginning to end, to prevent dirt-in-paint contamination. INLAC supplied two fully enclosed down-draught spraybooths, a common air replacement plant, an enclosed Load/Unload Room, paint mix and flash-off enclosures. The project also modified and extended an existing conveyor system whilst fully utilizing the existing warm air drying oven and UV curing plant.

We were extremely pleased to be awarded this contract from IK Precision and to be able to provide them with an additional solution to their booth overhaul situation.
