Three distinct colours in one coating is the latest development from paint manufacturer Trimite with the launch of their Tri-Flash range of paints for plastics which brings seven exciting new colours to the aid of the designer and manufacturer.

According to Trimite, advances in pigment technology have enabled its technicians to develop a product which, when viewed at different optical angles, produces three distinct colours. As the position of either the object or the observer alters, so the colour appears to change. This spectral package has been launched as Tri-Flash, adding a new dimension to the current Plastilac® range.

The new Tri-Flash colours are: Kingfisher, Rustic Copper, Evergreen, Lilac Wine, Burgundy Bronze, Inca Gold and Atlantic. Each one claims excellent colour change capabilities. Designated as the K500 series, Tri-Flash coatings are applied by conventional spray techniques. The seven special colour changes are said to enhance both value and quality, making them ideal for use on such diverse products as mobile phones, mannequins, shopfitting and point of sale display units, cosmetic items, electrical and audio equipment. Additionally, they enable product designers in particular to explore innovative ways to utilise the unusual characteristics of the Tri-Flash colours.

Tri-Flash can be incorporated into Plastilac single pack, two pack and waterbased coatings as well as being tailored to suit customer requirements. Plastilac paints for plastics are formulated to provide optimum performance and durability on plastic surfaces.
