Brochure on Atlas Chromatography Data System

Keywords: Thermo LabSystems, Chromatography, Software

Thermo LabSystems has published an updated, 12-page brochure on its award-winning Chromatography Data System (CDS), Atlas. This new brochure provides customers with a comprehensive overview of Atlas's functionality and Thermo LabSystems' services for system implementation and the training and support of users.

With over 25,000 channels connected to Atlas in 23 countries worldwide, Atlas is arguably the most established and functionally-rich CDS on the market. The new, full-colour brochure includes descriptions on all the latest Atlas features and its underlying technology. To aid a sound understanding of Atlas' comprehensive functional coverage and design, the reader is hand-held through a typical chromatographer's workflow:

  • preparing sample sequences;

  • instrument setup;

  • acquiring data;

  • processing samples;

  • reporting results.

A novel feature of Atlas described in the brochure is multi-vendor instrument control. Atlas functionality offers control of instruments from leading manufacturers, such as Agilent, Waters and Vadan. It provides a single common user interface for data acquisition and control regardless of the instrument vendor, thus simplifying training, support and reducing maintenance costs. Another new Atlas feature described is the powerful Report Writer/which allows the generation, creation of all reports from within Atlas, eliminating the need to export data into third-party packages and thereby easing validation.

Atlas is a 32-bit Chromatography Data System focused on delivering laboratory productivity by adapting to laboratory workflow and offering improved ease of use. Developed exclusively for the Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows 2000 and Windows NT environments, Atlas is compatible with Microsoft Office. Scaleable from single instrument workstations to full multichannel, multi-user client/server implementations, Atlas is designed for use in fully networked, secure and regulated environments.
