The most significant advantage of the new PVV EASYCOLOUR Automatic Powder Coating Booth from SAMES is that it allows the exceptionally fast change from light to dark colours, or vice versa. Colour changing can typically be accomplished in just 6 to 10min without any compromise on application quality or the changing of powder hoses to suit the powders coloured differently.
Modular in construction to allow the optimal configuration to be achieved for each customer, PVV EASYCOLOUR is designed for maximum transfer efficiency and easy maintenance. The automatic cleaning of pumps and powder feeding hoses is standard.
Five main elements complete the system, the first of which is the PCE 2500 powder supply centre. Powder is fed into the system via vibrating box or fluidised hopper and any that becomes airborne is automatically recovered. Up to 24 powder pumps and spray guns can be specified.
The spray booth itself is made from a PVC and plastic honeycomb composite, a material that actively resists any build-up. Height of booth, gun arrangement, automatic product recognition and ventilation can all be tailored to suit the application. One or several reciprocators may be specified.
The third element is the highly efficient cyclone with integrated sieve. Its downdraft design minimises the amount of powder remaining on the floor and ensures limited airflow is used to convey the reclaimed powder to the powder supply centre. This feeds into the ventilation and powder recovery system whose filtration cartridges are 99.97 per cent efficient at capturing surplus powder.
The IP54-sealed main control unit graphically displays the entire process and monitors powder flows and other production parameters. The colour changing process is initiated by a simple touch of a key.
